Anyways, I wanted to talk about my FAVORITE Soul Screamers book by the amazingly talented Rachel Vincent x)
I loooooooved this book soooooooo much. I loved the story, the plot, the humor and most of all, I loved Tod.
Now prepare for a bit of spoilers!
Despite all the horrible things being thrown at Kaylee through out not only this book, but every other book too, she still manages to think about others and sacrifice a lot of things to make sure every one else is okay. I really love her character, good or bad, she knows what she wants to do and does it with or without help or permission. In each book she manages to overcome a large life obstacle and in this particular book she has to face her biggest challenge yet, her impending death.Yet, even in the face of death, Kaylee pushes her own problems out of her way and focuses on making sure every one else is set to live and be safe after she is gone.
In my opinion this was the greatest book of all and I re-read it about fifty times during state testing at school. My favorite part would have to be when Kaylee and Tod are just sitting in her living room talking and getting to know each other better. It was perhaps the second sweetest scene of all the Soul Screamers, right after Tod told her he'd do anything for the girl who granted his last wish.
Ahh, Tod, SA-WOON. Oh right, the book.
I've never been for Nash and Kaylee but I was most definitely against Nash and Sabine. I mean Sabine is pretty chill after she stops trying to kill Kaylee, okay not kill but harm, to get to Nash, but I don't think they'd last any longer than he and Kaylee did. So in If I Die when Nash uses the influence on Kay, I felt like doing exactly what Sabine did. I think it proved(along with the fact that he sold his memories of Kaylee, NOT Sabine) that he never would have been able to stay with Kaylee with both participates fully committed to each other.
With all of that said, I think I conveyed all the major points I loved about the book, or hated.
